Block 85 - Color Court Building

The Color Court building was developed and is designated as the first LEED Certified Platinum historic renovation in Nebraska. The Color Court Building is unlike any other office building of its kind. The incorporation of geothermal HVAC systems, showers, recycling, rainwater capture systems, natural day lighting and zero light pollution will help take it off of the local utility grids and make it a well functioning environment for local businesses.  The project sparked the redevelopment of the rest of the block into a collection of unique office spaces reusing the buildings which were in great disrepair. The four story main building and adjacent two story building were renovated to connect together office spaces which are as unique as the building. The first floor is home to Benesh Engineering and the second houses ETI Engineering. This project utilized Historic Tax Credits as well as Green Design principles to create a one of a kind project and a catalyst for the South Haymarket area in Lincoln.
