Featured Project: Northeast Team Police Station

Project Description

Part of "University Place", a historical neighborhood in the City of Lincoln, this building was originally built in the 1950's to serve as a switching station for Lincoln Telephone & Telegraph. In the center of University Place, and next to the University of Wesleyan, it is located just off 48th Street and a few blocks east of University of Nebraska, Lincoln's East Campus.

Completely renovated from the phone and telegraph station, and it is now serving as the North East Lincoln Police Department headquarters. More than 70 officers, sergeants and detectives will call this home. Centered in the heart of the North East Team's territory, this locale will enable the officers to act quickly to protect and keep peace. With more than 1.5 million dollars of improvement, this building will become a state-of-the-art facility for the North East Team and City of Lincoln.
