35 East

35 East is a three-story, multi phased, mixed-use development project directly across from UNL's East Campus. Phase One occupies the former parking lot of the historic original Valentino's Italian Restaurant. The first floor includes the new Valentino's, Cultiva Coffee along with an additional 2,400 square feet of retail space, which is available and ready for tenant improvements. The second floor includes thirteen hotel flats, operated by the University of Nebraska Lincoln, who will lease the units to East Campus visitors, potential extended stay residents and visiting professors. The third floor has thirteen studio apartment flats designed with students and young professionals in mind. Phase Two is under construction and will open in August of 2015. This phase includes an additional twenty eight housing units. It also includes approximately 9,800 square feet of first floor retail and office space which is available to add to the needs of the community for more services and options in the area. This project added to the growth of UNL's East Campus and the great adjacent neighborhood further enhancing the front door to the campus and the area.
